Artistic Grounded Chicago Romantic Comedy Brandon Ogborn, Brianna Baker and Michael Malarkey combine forces for “Young Couple,” my new favorite web series. Ogborn and Baker previously worked together on The TomKat Project and knowing how brilliant that production was, only adds to my anticipation for the launch of this series.

Anything Goes If you can’t decide what kind of comedy you’re in the mood for, The Kickback might just be your thing. This Thursday, July 31st, The Kickback takes on a talk show/showcase/variety show format, welcoming all types of comedy — improv, sketch, standup, you name it. Host, Chris Redd, welcomes the best of Chicago comedy to perform new material as Redd throws surprise challenges at them throughout the show. Redd is developing the show to eventually be a touring production.

Joining Moral Hazard throughout July is Brianna Baker’s show “Phyllis.” “Phyllis” is a solo show about the life and times of Brianna’s grandmother, Phyllis Lancaster. As a young woman, Phyllismoved from Salt Lake City to Chicago to start a career in modeling. She never quite fit in with the way of life in Salt Lake City, and came to Chicago to make a mark.
