KAYPE PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS LAFS RIOT

LAFS TO TAKE OVER PUBLIC HOUSE

LAFS RIOT LogoFor the very first time, LAFS is hosting a one-night only comedy event – a theatre takeover, if you will. Thursday, October 2nd LAFS will morph into LAFS RIOT hosting twelve sketch and improv performances, in four shows at The Public House Theatre. LAFS RIOT will also be partnering with Gilda’s Club Chicago and that’s just the beginning…

LAFS RIOT will be a total of twelve sketch/improv shows divvied up into four shows in both of the venue’s two theatres. Showtimes will be at 8pm and 10pm with three different 30-minute sketch/improv performances per show. Tickets to each show will be $12 – $10 ticket with a $2 donation to Gilda’s Club Chicago.

Acts currently scheduled to perform include 3Peat, Switch Committee, Solid Gold Duets, Snooty Pageant, d’Hôtél Winñetkå, Pizza Party and The Shock-Ts. 3Peat and Switch Committee just finished year-long runs at iO Chicago and Solid Gold Duets is reuniting for their second performance of 2014. Every show will be hosted by a Chicago-based comedian, with guest emcees and the final five teams to be announced in the coming weeks. We may have a few people flying back into town as well…

LAFS RIOT is also looking for sponsors. We are looking for a lead charity sponsor to match the total donations raised for Gilda’s Club Chicago as well as additional sponsors to help support the event. For more information, email LAFS RIOT Operations Manager, Cameron Scheetz at cameron@lifesafunnyscene.com.

More details will be announced next month and tickets will go on sale on September 5th, 2014, which conveniently happens to be LAFS’ 2-year anniversary. Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to LAFS’ success and to all those involved in LAFS RIOT. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone on October 2nd – so save the date!

Keep up to date with #LAFSRIOT on social and check back for updates on the LAFS RIOT homepage.
